Privacy Policy

‘DTC’ (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) values your personal information and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Data Protection, and other applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea.
Through this Privacy Policy, the Company informs you of how and for what purposes your personal information is collected, used, and protected, as well as what measures are taken to safeguard your information.

1. Items of Personal Information Collected

The Company collects the following personal information for purposes such as membership registration, consultation, and service application.
Method of Collection: Through the website (membership registration, bulletin board, application forms)

2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:

1. Fulfillment of Service Agreements and Billing for Services Provided: Provision of content, delivery of goods or invoices, user identity verification, purchase and payment processing, and collection of fees
2. Member Management: Verification of user identity for membership-based services, prevention of unauthorized use and misuse by delinquent members, and confirmation of membership intent
3. Marketing and Advertising: Analysis of access frequency and compilation of service usage statistics for service improvement and marketing purposes


3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved.
However, when it is necessary to retain information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, the Company will retain member information for a specified period as set forth below.

2. Legal Basis: The Credit Information Use and Protection Act
3. Retention Period: 3 years

Records on Display and Advertisement (pursuant to the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) : 6 months
Records on Contracts or Withdrawal of Subscription (pursuant to the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce): 5 years
Records on Payment and Supply of Goods (pursuant to the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce): 5 years
Records on Consumer Complaints or Dispute Resolution (pursuant to the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce): 3 years
Records on Collection, Processing, and Use of Credit Information (pursuant to the Act on the Use and Protection of Credit Information): 3 years


4. Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information

In principle, the Company destroys personal information without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. The procedures and methods for destruction are as follows:

1. Destruction Procedures: Personal information provided by users during membership registration or other activities is transferred to a separate database (or a separate filing cabinet in the case of paper documents) once the purpose of its use has been fulfilled. It is then retained for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and relevant laws (see Retention and Use Period of Personal Information), after which it is permanently destroyed. Personal information stored in a separate database will not be used for any purpose other than those required by law.
2. Destruction Methods: Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that render the records unrecoverable.


5. Provision of Personal Information

In principle, the Company does not provide users’ personal information to any external parties.
However, exceptions are made in the following cases:

1. When the user has given prior consent; or
2. When required by law, or when requested by investigative authorities in pursuant to the procedures and methods prescribed by applicable laws and regulations.


6. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

The Company does not entrust users’ personal information to external service providers without prior consent. If it becomes necessary to do so in the future, the Company will notify users of the details of the entrusted party and the scope of the outsourced work, and will obtain prior consent when required.


7. Rights of User and Legal Representatives and the Exercise Thereof

Users may, at any time, view or modify their registered personal information or request the termination of their membership.
To view or modify personal information, users may select “Edit Personal Information” (or “Modify Member Information”, etc.). To withdraw consent or terminate membership, users may click “Withdraw Membership” and complete the identity verification process. After verification, users can directly access, correct, or delete their information.
Alternatively, users may contact the Personal Information Protection Officer in writing or via email, and the Company will take appropriate action without delay.
If a user requests correction of an error in their personal information, the Company will not use or provide the information until the correction has been completed. If incorrect information has already been provided to a third party, the Company will promptly notify the third party of the correction to ensure the necessary adjustments are made.
Personal information that has been terminated or deleted at the user’s request will be handled in accordance with the Retention and Use Period of Personal Information and will not be viewed or used for any other purpose.


8. Installation and Operation of Automatic Collection Devices and Refusal Thereof

The Company uses cookies and similar technologies that store and retrieve user information from time to time. A “cookie” is a small text file sent from the server used to operate the Company’s website to the user’s web browser and stored on the user’s computer hard drive.
The Company uses cookies for the following purposes:

1. To analyze access frequency and visit times of members and non-members; To identify users’ preferences and interests, track usage patterns, and understand participation levels in various events or frequency of visits; To provide targeted marketing and personalized services based on such analysis.
Users have the option to control the installation of cookies. They may choose to allow all cookies, receive confirmation each time a cookie is stored, or refuse all cookies through their web browser settings.
2. ow to Refuse Cookie Settings – Users can choose whether to accept cookies by adjusting the settings in your web browser. You may allow all cookies, receive a notification each time a cookie is stored, or refuse all cookies together. For example, in Internet Explorer, click Tools at the top, click Internet Options, and find Privacy and adjust the settings.
Please note that refusing cookies may cause some difficulties in using certain Services or features.


9. Inquiries and Complaints Regarding Personal Information

11. Duty of Notification

If there are any changes to this Privacy Policy, the Company will notify users of such revisions through the “Notices” section of the website at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date.
